You don't need any creative abilities at all. The bird doesn't care what it looks like they just want to destroy it.
I buy all my supplies from Joe at,
Pet Bird Supplies | birdsafestore.com
I use leather. It lasts longer cuz it's tougher to chew up and my Sun likes to try.
All I do is string a few toy parts on a string of leather and attach it to the cage with a Stainless Steel Pear link.
Remember the K.I.S.S. principle?
