Lada my female eckie is a little on the stinky side sometimes. Also, not the pleasant parrot smell some people on here often refer to. It's not terribly bad, just wondering if I could be doing anything different to help alleviate it or if it is just normal. Should I be giving her a bath in a different manner? Birdie shampoos? Soak type bath vs shower perch, etc. Could it be birdie breath that I am smelling? I have not exactly buried my nose in her feather yet to confirm the source lol.

How old is, what is her diet, and when did she last see the vet?

My green cheek had a salty marinara sauce smell to her when I got her because she was on a poor diet. Went away after she was put on a better diet and molted out her stinky feathers.

8 years old, vet in probably the last 6 months and she gets the following:

Always a good helping and variety of fresh fruits and veggies every day:

Fresh veggies and greens from my organic garden during the growing seasons:

Treats every now and then:

Pellets always available in her cage all the time as a backup. (Yes... she prefers fruity pebbles):

And she has been know to steal people food from time to time:

"Stink" is not a very good description of what you're smelling. All birds have a smell and all birds can have some bad breath because of (combinations) things they've eaten.

Love the diet, it looks great. My lovebird Birdy smells sometimes, actually it's kinda his natural smell 24/7. But when he doesn't have a bath it gets worse. So maybe more baths/showers ?

She's super cute:) I really like eckies.

I think you are correct John. We were snoozing on the couch today and she was snuggled up right under my chin. No smell. I started to notice though at different times that it seemed to be coming from her mouth. She has birdie breath! Need to do some searching now on this topic. Forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder.
