It's been a few months, but I'm back, less two members of the flock.
6 years together wasn't nearly enough.
Merlin was the boldest, and if you can believe it, the loudest member of the flock. My poor little girl died in my hands, we never did make it to the vet. We didn't get a necropsy, so we don't know what happened, but one day she was fine, the next morning she seemed weak and by noon she was gone.
Three days later, we lost Wicket too. Because it was so close together, we took him for a necropsy to protect our two remaining birds. Luckily, it was just bad luck. Wicket, only 17 months old, died of a heart defect. I miss you buddy, the family doesn't feel complete without you and the house is so quiet with no conure calls.
