Hi! I'm brand new to the forum. I have a female peach-faced lovebird (named B.B.) who is about a year and a half old. She has never laid eggs. Lately- for the past few weeks- she has had bursts of extreme hyperactivity! She'll run back and forth on the top of the couch, she tries to run into the bathroom and climb into a basket I have in there. Today, she climbed into the refrigerator when I had it open and crawled between the crisper drawers (I got her out immediately; she is always monitored when she's out). She was on the counter when I was washing dishes, and she attacked a box of eyeglass cleaning clothes, then a pill bottle, then a plastic bag, then a grape...then she went into full display mode for the grape. Wings out, tail up. I included a picture for reference.
She has been displaying for a lot of inanimate objects lately. I know it's spring and hormones are heavy right now. It's the hyperactivity that is worrying me, because she's never demonstrated anything like that before. Is this normal?
