Simple Foraging Ideas for the Disabled

Been confined to a wheelchair for the past seven weeks. I no longer can scramble up and down a ladder to provide the constantly new enrichment activities that The Goffins need.

The G2s have invented their own activities. They have chewed holes in my ceiling and torn the sheetrock off the walls.

I have come up with a couple of ideas to solve some of my problems.

The Teenagers attached stainless steel eyes to the uppermost structures in the G2's play area. They then ran long leather cords through through eyes for me.

I use the cords like a pulley system. I tie on chew branches, toys, foraging snacks and pull them up to various heights.

They swing like Tarzan to get to the shiny new attraction and happily chew for hours.

I got the leather cords from Zoo-Max. I also got:

Which are a huge chewy hit.

I don't think Jaye has been on for quite some time. Funny you should pull up this thread I was just thinking about her earlier today. I hope she is doing ok.
