Simba{Sun Conure} love scritches but only for a min or so then he's tired of them. Nala(Green Cheek Conure} on the other hand I cant even scritch, she wants nothing to do with it.
My Sennie (Kiwi) love scritches. Red Belly (Cherry) not yet. My Conure (Pickles) loves them, he's just a big baby! My BCC (Coconut) he loves them too. My YSGCC (Melon) likes them but then gets mad at ya. My LB (Peanut) he's not a fan of them.
All the macs love their scritches here! Max is more opinionated about when, but really enjoys it on his terms. MaiTai loves a good scratch pretty much anytime and gets totally relaxed quite often. Cabo is soooooo snuggly still! BUT I have to wait until he is done eating and playing, he is too wiggly to stay still otherwise. Once he is ready though he gets really into it and often lays down and falls asleep! Cutest thing ever
Teaka, the crimon bellied conure is very snuggly too! Then of course ChiChi our female tiel can never get enough, but her buddy Taco only likes a scritche occasionally. None of my lovely Bourkes enjoy being petted at all, but are very tame. One is very people oriented and enjoys grooming us and everything else you would expect a tame friendly bird to do. Maybe it is just the species?
Autumn, my green cheek loves scritches! Cockatiels Poupon and Feather love theirs too! Merlin, my Amazon loves his scritches! Nemo, my Meyers has allowed scritches twice since I got him. That is about it out of my guys!
Nope! Being a true Alexandrine, my lil lady doesn't like being touched other than tolerating beak strokes - IF she's in the mood or when she's half asleep. Then, if I'm lucky, I can sneak a couple of 'strokes' over her head or belly until she's had Enough!
Luna (TAG) loves her scritches but only after she's through being birdzilla. She has to get the flying around and getting into everything out of her system first. Then she turns into a cuddlebug.
The linnies don't want to be handled yet but I'm really hoping they'll be cuddlier after they settle in.
Risa, my blue headed pionus, loves scritches most of the time. If she doesn't want them, she'll walk away, but most of the time she'll sit forever and let you scritch her head.
