Safe soaps

Just recently brought home my Green Cheek Conure and want things to be safe for him. Curious what you would say about a good hand soap for me to use. I am holding him a lot and he is always beaking my skin with his tongue. Is regular pump-type hand soap ok as long as I rinse thoroughly? And as for washing his dishes, is something like Dawn ok with a good rinse? Thanks All!!
