Growing zinnia and cosmos flowers is SO easy for me. I've never seen either on any list. I know people eat and make tea from these. Despite the bitterness, they help with nausea and indigestion. Are these safe for parrots?

I know that hibiscus are safe as long as they aren't sprayed. Squash blossoms are safe.

For Mother's Day at church, I was given a Coat-of-Many-Colors rose (primarily yellow with red, green, pink) and wondered if it could be fed to my fids. Does anybody know?

Hibiscus are around but never know if they are sprayed.

I have roses...seems they are safe...never thought of it...

I'd trust VCA & chrysanthemum is not on it!

There was a list:

Safe Edible Flowers For Parrots

Found this & I would warn against chrysanthemum!!! I thought it wa toxic.
My moms canary ate some once & died.

Rose petals should be safe unless they were treated with any pesticides. Unless you're absolutely certain, I wouldn't feed them.

Since I didn't grow the roses, I've chosen not to give. On the other hand, I do grow the Nasturtiums, squash, okra etal and know exactly what goes on them.
I looked on the Petcha site but didn't see either zinnia or cosmos listed so decided to ask.
My babies love to hang out on the inside plants so, the only plants they have access to are diy and regularly replaced.
Thanks for the help!
