Sad news, Fuzzy died suddenly

Sorry that I have not kept up with everyone. Life has been busy. This morning, Fuzzy died suddenly. We had played knock-knock just a bit earlier. She would knock on her cage, then I would tap back. No strange sounds or flapping. I looked into her/his cage and there she was, laying on the bottom. Go Go, my other LB, is acting fine, other than he is silent. When I play other birds Chirping he is not responding, nor is he responding when I call him. He is eating okay and drinking water and looks good. They were not cage mates. Should I just give him a few days to get used to being an only bird? I will give him some extra attention today.

So sorry about your loss...........if your other Lovebird, even though in separate cages, interacted much with your deceased bird, then he is going through some grieving and will for a few days. Just give him/her some extra love and attention, that will help, but of course, grief is grief and takes it's own time. Hopefully whatever took the life of your Lovebird wasn't something transmissible to the other bird.

So sorry for your loss. You may want to consider having a necropsy done so you can possibly find out what happened to Fuzzy. Especially important since you have another bird.
