Rehoming bonded sun conure and hahn’s macaw

Hi everyone. It has been a long time since I have been on AA. Life has been… hard. For awhile. My situation has deteriorated to the point that I can no longer care for my animals and have to find homes for them.

Lucy is a 10 yo sun conure. Mabel is an 8yo hahn’s macaw. Both are DNA checked female (plus Lucy once laid eggs). They are very deeply bonded to one another and I will not separate them. I have had them both since they were babies. They have both received regular veterinary care their entire lives.

They are both very quiet (I mean, quiet for parrots. They aren’t screamers at all but when they do make noise it’s hella loud lol). Mabel talks. She has only ever known love, so she doesn’t say any bad words or anything negative. She says things like her name, Lucy’s name, good morning, good girl, love you, blows kisses, etc. Lucy loves to dance. Her favorite song is “Banana Pancakes.”

They have an extremely large cage that they share. Play gyms. Many many many toys. Tons of stuff. It will all go with them. I just want someone who loves them as much as I do to take them. If you are within driving distance of Atlanta and want to talk to me about them, please send me a message.

I'm so sorry to hear this,I wish I knew of someone to help. Maybe reach out to Macaw and Cockatoo rescue of New Mexico. Anna used to be a member here but hasn't posted in quite sometime. But she's lovely and I'm sure she'd know of someone who could help.

I live about 3.5 hours drive from Atlanta. Unfortunately, I simply can't add two birds to the mix right now. There is also another rescue in North Carolina called Companion Parrots Rehomed. They may be able to help you. Please let us know if one of the NC rescues would work for you. I *might* be able to facilitate transport for your beloved babies.
