Regional forums

Was wondering if there is any plans to create regional forums for locals? (U.S. East/West/Central/South, Canada, Australia, South Asia, Asia, Europe, etc)

I think that was brought up earlier and they are in the works of potentially creating something (not sure what has been decided)
