Pandinus cavimanus, showing her red claws. Not a very happy scorpion, I really would rather not end up in that vice grip. Her hunting her food is pretty hilarious though. She holds on to her prey till she feels like eating.




I feel a need to name everything, even if I can't remember it, so I have to write it on their cages. I've began giving my invertebrates slightly ridiculous names (for lack of a better word) because I'm running out of them. So this one is named Mistletoe. First red thing thing I thought of when I got her.

I ironically have a preference for spiders, but a few scorpions have caught my eye over the years.

When I had my scorpion (her name was Penny) she would grab her food, sting it, then lift it up in her claws and carry it off to her "lair" to eat it. Penny carried food over her head like a trophy for all to see. I swear, I couldn't have a normal pet if my life depended on it!

I had a scorpion named Brian stay at my house for a couple months. That name still cracks me up
