It's REALLY dark in here....cloudy out. No flash, no artifical lights and see!

I'll rinse and repeat with the Nikon D90 and post here in a few weeks (out for repairs)

yes it lightened everything automatically.....i can barely see enough to plug the usb into the laptop!!

those are awesome,
My canon (not a DSLR) doesn't take good pics in low light setting at all, they come out dark - almost as dark as the room is, even if their is light coming through the window (like around 8ish at night before i turn the room lights on) and if I use just my floor lamp I have to use the flash or they come out dark.

Saroj I have noticed our lovely Nikons do not handle low light very well :( Glad the canon does!

this rebel is a loaner so it goes back when the nikon returns.

Ya. I mean I have heard if you have the right lens (to be specific, the 50mm) then it helps but... Actually (now that its resurfacing my memory...) you should try shooting in low light on the Program (P) mode. I dont like that mode in general, but have noticed in lowlight it does better than everything else. I can NEVER get my manual to work in low light, now matter how many different things I change!
