Pictures Raisin Surprise

I feed Morgan, Chip, & Charlie a little bit of Higgins Safflower Gold as part of their dry mix. I found this unseemly mass in the new bag yesterday; I have a 1/3 measuring cup beside it for scale. I called Higgins and sent them the picture; they identified it as a mass of raisins. They didn’t offer a new bag or anything. Yuck!

I don't even like when my food has a chunk of raisins like that.

It should be easy enough to pull them apart and mix them back through the seed mix shouldn’t it?
I’ve had that before in human fruit and nut mixes.

Ugh… that’s a big mass of raisins! I would’ve tossed it. Too much moisture would cause a ball like that right?? You should save it to play a poop prank on someone!

The raisins I get are in package that is nearly always air free and they are all stuck together like that till I bust them up. I have also found sultanas, apple, apricot will do the same thing if you put them in a bag and remove the air.

The last time I ate raisins… over thirty years ago… I was sitting, relaxing, gobbled half a box and then noticed a LOT of weevils on the remaining raisins. I have ZeRO interest in eating them again. Much like the time I got drunk on Scotch…. Never want to touch that crap again either.
