The caption is "This raccoon never left the side of a cat who was dying of a tumor. The cat was comforted for the final hours of her life by her long time friend."

I believe this is the last pic we have of Pirate, left, and his brother, Shadow. Pirate died of cancer a few days later, and Shadow groomed him until the very end. He was 17.
