I was just sitting down watching Netflix on my computer with Eddie and eating an avocado. My cat then came into the room and knocked a glass of water over. I set Eddie down on my laptop where he likes to sit sometimes and went over to shoo the cat out and clean up the mess, completely forgetting I'd left the avocado there. When I finished cleaning it up, I went to go get Eddie again and saw him eating my avocado. He only had a tiny bit and I don't know how much is toxic to him. Should I be worried about this? He ate a little less than a dime size portion so I might be overreacting, but I just want to make sure he's safe. I'm just glad he didn't eat more, and I will now be much more cautious about where I leave things like this.

He should be ok, it's the pit that is mostly toxic.
I would be panicked if he ate a lead pencil .
