Hey there everyone.

I've recently moved into a brand new apartment, and one of the features of said apartment is a Dishwasher.

Now, this makes me feel dumb to ask, because In my 30 years of life, I have never had a dishwasher before.... so feel free to tease as you see fit.

The washer has a "super heat air dry" option for washing your dishes. Is it safe to use? Is it going to release chemicals or anything that could hurt the bird? I know self cleaning ovens and such are a no no, and I'm afraid im completely ignorant about this.

Google hasn't been reliable.

If it's anything like mine, it just forces hot air through the dishwasher to make them dry faster, which should be okay :)

It should be fine, I think the only thing yoyu have to worry about is cooking with teflon pans.

I also would not use anything in the dishwasher except stuff made for it. Mixing chemicals can be especially dangerous in a dishwasher as it gets heated and then is airborne.
