I'm not getting the picture:huh:
is this shelf inside or outside the cage?:)
Outside.:) Do your parrots ever walk on the roofs of their cages?

I know the caiques do.. but what about the quakers?:)

All the time. I'm going to put in my *own* always-dropped-down porches at the top :lol:
Big order for Tricia coming up :D

You can also have Donna from Ewd make you some nice multi branch perches to hang in that area if you'd like. Perhaps they can use the perch to hop on to the shelf or vice versa.:p

brilliant shelf idea!! woohoo :dance4:

Sunny spends all his time on his shelf hanging off his cage door, don't ask me why i didn't think of it--
yay we have Merlie for ideas like that :hehe:
:dancing::dancing::dancing:i'm excited about these ideas!!
Ah yes, a rope perch wouldnt work, but could you not attach the 'shelf' upside down just under the handle for the grate? as there are the same sized bars that it could attach to (though i dont own a shelf so not 100% sure of the attachment), the reason i say upside down so its not a big step down for them, its only a little?
Feebee it is kindof heavy and those bars are not attached to the frame except at the ends, but I will ask if they can sustain the weight. If yes, then shelf there too! They can pick where they want to perch!:D

How come always drop down shelf perches? On the shelf I got from EH it specifically said to mount it the opposite way / upside down from how you have it?
