Well, it sounds like they've got a good grasp of the situation and can fix it readily enough. That's good news, although I'm sorry that she's got to have another procedure and that you were worried.Just got off the phone with my husband. She has a tracheal membrane that he is going to have to remove. It means they have to make a hole through her side so she can breathe while they do this new surgery. She will stay there. We are supposed to go on vacation for 4 days next week. I would never leave her with a pet sitter at this point.
The surgery will be either today or tomorrow.
This is apparently a side effect of having been intubated during her last surgery.
Poor baby!!! Please stay positive. It´s so scary and stressful when the feathery ones get sick. I hope you can do something to relax and feel better. I will be thinking of you both!It would have killed her if we hadn't taken her in. Basically it would suffocate her.
