The pair of Bald Eagles whose nest was destroyed when the tree it was in collapsed during a storm earlier this year have rebuilt and their egg has hatched! Audobon Society has confirmed feeding behavior at the nest.

There is another pair of Bald Eagles way up in a tree overlooking the highway on the other side of the city. It can be seen from an intersection near the bird shop and groomer we sometimes take our flock to. I need to remember to bring my binoculars for the drive next time...I will be the passenger of course, haha.

I have been watching SW Florida eagle nest cam. E9 eaglet will soon be ready to leave.
Also was concerned about the Stewards Trio Eagles. The female has been missing since Sunday after attacks - defending the nest of 2 babies. The 2 males are left to care for eaglets. Keep hoping she will come back but it is doubtful.

Thanks! Unfortunately for this nest the camera doesn't have a great shot. It was trained on the old nest that had fallen, and they couldn't move it since they didn't want to disturb the eagles. They rebuilt the nest in I believe a week! Fast and dedicated workers.
