Pi the Plumhead joins my Flock!

On Sunday morning I finally pick up Pi. I am so excited!! It has been a long wait.


I was pretty bummed out that the breeder trimmed his wings He will be flighted in my home. The breeder was worried about transport.

I can't wait to update everyone on him when he is home. I am so excited I get to grow with him and watch his feathers mature.

Below is a picture of his father. I think will have the vet remove the leg band from Pi.

He's adorable and his father is beautiful! I'd be bummed at the breeder too for clipping his wings. Hopefully they will grow out this year.

Pi is home, I still haven't taken a picture because I really don't want his first memories of the new place to be a scary camera.

He is such a sweet little bird. He hasn't even been in his new home for 24 hours and he is chatting up a storm and playing with toys I will post a picture soon!

He may have dropped his raspberry when the camera appeared, but he is a very calm bird.

Such a relaxed bird, it is almost eerie. He chirps when he wants something and he chats a bit when he sees the wild lorikeets fly past.
He is very curious and loves grapes. I am very impressed with how human curious/friendly he is. The breeder did a great job exposing him to human life. Not even the coffee grinder bothered him. The only thing that startled him was rustling bag noises when I was getting out some bok choy, which is a very natural sound to be afraid of. I look forward to seeing him blossom when his wings grow back.
