every have pellets that your feathered buddy just will not eat. or pellet dust leftover in the bag. try this:
Parrot Cookies
1 cup of Zupreem flour
3 oz. of organic applesauce
2 Chia eggs ( Need a egg for your parrot recipe try this: | Avian Avenue Parrot Forum )
coconut water cold
1 teaspoon of finely shredded unsweetened coconut
2 Tablespoons of nuts ground into a paste
2 tablespoons of dried fruit.
Blend flour, chia eggs, applesauce, adding coconut water a tablespoon at a time until well moisten. add nut paste, dried fruit, coconut, stirring until blended. Chill for at least 2 hours in the frig. Dough should be firm. preheat oven to 375 degrees. I use a melon scoop to portion the uniform balls. roll each ball in hands to form tightly packed ball. place on parchment paper lined cookie sheet. flatten with damp fingers and bake 20 minutes. makes 18 to 20 quarter sized cookies. they can be frozen after baking for 1 month.
