Meet the new little guy (hopefully) dna tested today. We just met him today, he is adorable. Still working on a name.... We were hesitant today when we went to the store. We had put a deposit on a black headed Caique and were going to the store visiting him over the last few months he was still being hand fed, unfortunately a freak accident happened when he was being hand fed which led him to aspirate and pass away. We were devastated. We went into the store for the first time today and we’re going to look at new black headed Caique babies but just couldn’t see trying to go down that same path. Then we met this little guy and everything changed. Meet our new Cape Parrot

Sorry about the cake. That's tough. Capes are good birds, though. The cape will help ease the pain.

Thank you all so much. It is still all fresh. But this little guy is definitely going to help. We want as much info as possible. Spent a lot of time researching Caiques. Now to learn as much as possible about the Cape.
