New Tree Stand!

Hi everyone!

My neighbor found a gorgeous tree stand at an estate sale and kindly picked it up for us for our Orange Wing Amazon! Snagged it for $10! The problem I'm now facing is the branches are a bit too big around and slippery for him to easily move around on. He's missing part of one of his back toes, so it makes it hard for him to really grab bigger perches sometimes and he just slides right off of them. We're going to go grab some vet wrap and some thin rope to create some more "grippy" areas for him. Anyone else have any recommendations of how to rough up a slippery perch? Pics for fun

That is gorgeous!!! And for a tenner!! Love it :)
Apart from vet wrap, maybe fix some low grade sandpaper?
You'll want something that won't be too abrasive on their feet...

That's what i said! To great of a deal to pass up, especially when I think of retail costs lol.

Oh sand paper would be great! I'll definitely buy a more rough grade and see if it helps him out any. Poor thing just slides right down the parts that have any kind of slope to them
