Hello, Thank you for accepting me! I have an 8 month old Canary Winged Parrot. He is amazing. I never thought I'd be such a bird person. How I got him was, I stopped into my local pet store to get dog food. A worker was walking around with a Conure and I just though his personality was so cool. I literally stopped there every day for a week, I was in love. I begged my family to be ok with my getting a bird. About a week later it was my anniversary my husband left money on the counter for me to go get my bird. I was working and my son wanted to go get it for me so I'd have it when I got home. Only when he got to the pet store that bird was gone. He knew he couldn't come home without a bird, so he went to a different store and found my Pinot. I was a little hesitant at first because it wasn't the other bird. But as soon as I held him I knew he was my bird. He was three months old at the time. Now, at 8 months he mimics my two dogs barking, my laugh and know how to get my attention. I'm learning how to take care of him and have found great information here. Looking forward to becoming a part of the community!
We went in for a $45 bag of dog food and came out $500 later with a sassy little green cheek and all sorts of supplies. (And thankfully we did remember the dog food.
