Think about the vendors that paid for advertising. They have told us nothing either. ;) No replies to emails or anything.
I thought about that , i saw you're beautiful full page Add...not cheap, Sarah , i hope you're fully reimbursed.

I only saw it here and on Facebook, which they of course now took down. Definitely try emailing them! Hope you all get your money back!

I think that there were several people on here who'd been hesitant to purchase the magazine because this same kind of thing happened last time, despite it being handled by different people, from what little I know. I feel awful for the vendors who bought advertising space with them. I was annoyed when I figured out that it was probably lost money but, I'd forgotten about it. But I can't imagine what advertising space cost... I remember a few ads from vendors on here... I really hope they get their money back. I hope everyone does, in truth.

Edit: If they closed their FaceBook, I'd suspect that they're trying to avoid being contacted, paranoid, perhaps but that's what that indicates to me.

I have this email that I received in August of last year:

I am very sorry for the late reply. I can completely understand your frustration over what happened and your concern with subscribing to Bird Talk again. I can assure you that what happened to you before will not happen again, we are not associated with the old company, in fact, that company is no longer in existence. We only produce birdcontent here and we do not plan to fold any time soon.

9/15/18 I ordered it.

My first issue was supposed to be the October/November that was mailed out in October. I'll have to go look and see what I actually received.

I'm sad.

I was just going to mention the hundreds of vendors that pay up front for advertising...oh yea, I think bird droppings will hit the fan!!

Here's your advertisement, it was in the last issue December/ January.
Their going to have alot of unhappy people to deal with, many vendors and subscribers deserve an explanation and refunds.

Just terrible.
It is I've been a member and supported them for years. I have to double check...think I had ever issue they ever put out. Well did, I lent issues out to new bird owners with copies relevant to the bird they had. I enjoyed them. Their articles were great.
Maybe they don't have any more dedicated writers anymore.

I was given old ones and bought some old ones. I hesitated before subscribing ....

It's a crock. They've stolen from vendors and from subscribers.

If you haven't received an email back and no magazine, file a chargeback with your bank, paypal, etc. Get your money back! Don't let them get away with it!
