Made one of Bukas pics my new Avatar I have the hardest time shrinking the pictures down for some reason

Its beautiful. Try using Picnik and resize with the constraint of square. Then your picture wont get distorted. It looks great the way you have it.

Thank! And I will have to try it next time. I had to resize it according to the original dimensions to make sure it stayed the same proportions using GIMP

You can do that in picnik too, you just keep that checkbox checked.

Nicole I take that back, I meant crop with square constraints, not resize. Here I tried it for you.

go to settings at the top right of the screen

once you click that, look at the left sidebar, midway down, under 'my settings'

click 'edit avatar'

then click the radio button in the middle that says 'use custom avatar'

you have the option to upload a pic from your machine or from a web address

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 200 by 200 pixels or 97.7 KB (whichever is smaller).

once you have selected your pic, remember to click on 'save changes' near the bottom of the screen
