I'm so happy! I'm finally meeting with a contractor today to discuss details for building my outdoor aviary. I plan to post pics of its progression as we build.

Design team is working out the details. What I do know so far is that the aviary will be 10x24, will be made using stainless steel wire, have a double door and a connection from our bedroom window into the side of the aviary so that I can put the birds directly through that way instead of taking each out via carrier. Concrete slab and 24 inch wall to help keep the critters out. There will be a drain installed into the slab for easy cleaning.
So excited this is finally happening for my babies!

By any chance could you post the plans or blueprints or something for this awesome thing... You know... So I can keep it in my records and make my own in, like, ten years.

This has been 2 years in the making. I agonized over going with SS vs GAW, but decided that SS would give me peace-of-mind knowing they wouldn't be exposed to zinc and other toxic metals.
