One of my passions besides birds are horned frogs (Ceratophrys sp.); I have a bunch of them. They are mostly adoptions. Enjoy the photos!

Amaranth, albino C. cranwelli.

Taz, male C. cranwelli with exceptional colors.

Fen, C. cranwelli

Gulo, C. cranwelli

Fetus, C. cranwelli

Pyxie, C. cranwelli

Quell, C. cranwelli

Maloris, C. cranwelli. He has a skeletal deformity that gave him a forshortened snout and underbite. He is still very functional/healthy, he just needs smaller prey items.

Chompy McBiterson, C. Cranwelli

Vert, C. cranwelli x C. cornuta hybrid.

Phage, C. ornata

Señor Corn Nuta, C. cornuta. He's still a little thin; just got him recently.

I love them - more questions!! (sorry! I'm curious!) Do they all live together? How big do they get?

To answer Q's:
- They are pretty easy to care for. You basically need 3-4" of coconut fiber, a big soaking dish, and some kind of heat source (or a heated room like my critter room) to keep it around 80 during the day. Oh and food, lots and LOTS of food - they eat a ton.
- They can not be kept together at all; they are cannibalistic! Even if they are the same size, they will try to eat each other, causing harm in the process.
- Females can get to about 6 or rarely 7 inches in length; males are more around 4-5" in length.

Now these I like a lot better than the roaches. Can the breeding pair be kept together after the babies are born or will they harm each other or the babies? Fascinating!

Birdiemarie, they pretty much only come together to breed - then it's time to clear out! The female might munch the male, and both parents would happily munch the babies. Frankly, the babies munch each OTHER quite often. It's a very no-holds-barred species when it comes to food!
