If you didn't see my post about the electrical fire we had here is the thread.
http://forums.avianavenue.com/index.php?posts/2470194/

Wednesday Tully, my hero started coughing. We took him to the vets and he was diagnosed with smoke inhalation, just like me. Poor baby boy. Even though we immediately vacated the house it proves how fast smoke can harm you.
Tully does not like the vets! He hid under our legs and the vet had some major positive reinforcement to do for him to come out.
Xray showed smoke inhalation damage to his lungs. He was given a bullous of fluids, put on pain meds, antibiotics because he had developed a fever and some relaxing meds. Poor sweet boy. He was so good. He has been resting peacefully since we came home. I hpe he is soon back to his normal Boxer, goofy self. My hero did not deserve this.

Poor fellow. He didn't show symptoms for a while, wonder if that's usual for dogs?

Boxers are bred to work alongside their people, and Tully did what a good Boxer does. He took care of what needed taking care of.

He is a hero for sure. Like hero's though, he is paying the price. Hoping he's soon well and feeling like his old self.

Good dog Tully!

How do you help a depressed dog that has lost their friend? Poor Tully, though he has smoke inhalation, and he is doing better on the meds, he is absolutely depressed and missing his sister Raven. His eyes are sad. He rarely gets up. He wanders the house looking for her, listening. He licks the floor only where she slept. I just feel so sad for him. I know what he is going through. Raven and he used to lick each other on the face as they laid together. I hope this sadness passes soon. For him and for us.:(

THank you everyone! Tully is starting to act a bit more cheerful! My son brought his boxer over and that sparked Tully's interest to play and wrestle with him. Baby steps for him and us. I miss Raven so.
