Wednesday Tully, my hero started coughing. We took him to the vets and he was diagnosed with smoke inhalation, just like me. Poor baby boy. Even though we immediately vacated the house it proves how fast smoke can harm you.
Tully does not like the vets! He hid under our legs and the vet had some major positive reinforcement to do for him to come out.
Xray showed smoke inhalation damage to his lungs. He was given a bullous of fluids, put on pain meds, antibiotics because he had developed a fever and some relaxing meds. Poor sweet boy. He was so good. He has been resting peacefully since we came home. I hpe he is soon back to his normal Boxer, goofy self. My hero did not deserve this.
