Oh I did not tell you what happened!
Jada flew away! She was always the escape artist.
Saturday a couple weeks ago. Their new owner was having an 80th birthday party for a friend. He had the sun porch door open, as they had been moving furniture out for the party. It got chilly, so he had set a heat lamp next to their cage. A perch fell in the cage, so he reached in to fix it and Jada flew up over his shoulder and out the door! He was frantic and called me. I told him how I used to just guide them and they would fly back into their cage. They have a super high metabolism, and I did not think she would want to be away from food for long. She was way up in an oak tree. So by a friend of mine's suggestion, he took Mr. jeepers and placed him into a smaller cage, then set their big cage over it. He said he took all the other birds from the sunroom too, and basically set it all up the same, but out in the front yard. After a few tries, and her going to the cages and back to the tree, she finally flew back into the cage!!!:faint:
I told him he better thank his lucky stars!:starshower:

I still cannot believe he got Jada back! It was really a miracle! The cage looks awesome! I am sure they will be very happy there!

Thanks again everyone.:) I like that this guy feeds them what I was feeding them. It's real important that they have the right diet.
Funny you should ask that Mercedez. He sent an e-mail the other day that she is setting up house! She has been taking nesting material and making a nest, and hopping around acting odd. She did this last year, but Mr. J was not impressed. Maybe in the new surroundings, without noisy parrots, they might just raise some young!:)
