Hi! I've had my budgie for around 6 weeks now and I've been moving slow, giving him time. I recently started clicker training and it seems to be going well. After getting him conditioned to the clicker I started out touching a target stick to his beak, which within time he started to nip a little bit. Sometimes he has no interest in training or treats so I'll just give him a little while and come back later. I've been trying to move forward, but perhaps I'm moving too fast. He won't nip the target UNLESS I touch it to his beak. Even if it's a few centimeters off, he has no interest. How should I approach continuing? I wouldn't want to push or frighten him, so I'm open to suggestions!
