The great battle of 100mm vs. 75-300mm has begun! :p The moon was bright so I decided to get some comparisons to see if it would be better to crop a pic from the 100mm than take a normal pic from the 75-300mm, since the 75-300mm is so bad and the 100 is so sharp.

With the 100mm (new):

75-300mm (old/normal):

It seems even to me, although I could have been more accurate with the crop of the 100mm pic, so I might take another set of pics soon.

on the 75-300mm I was at 1/200 shutter speed, f/8.0, ISO 100. But I messed with the sharpness and contrast in Gimp, did a lot better editing on the 300mm pic to bring out the details in the moon

Then turn the shutter speed up. Or ISO down, or use a smaller aperture
