I have a question about eye color. For those of you with moluccans, when you have them in sunlight is there a blue tint to their eye color? Is this the usual for a moluccan, or is possibly an indicator of an older bird? I don't mean a bluish eye ring, but the brown part of the eye itself. Hope this makes sense!
Thanks!

Miss Coco's eyes are dark brown, full sunlight or not (she's an M2). We just adopted a DYH with a light blue tinge in the opacity of his lens. Our vet told us they are cataracts; he is an older bird, however.

My moluccan, MangoCharlie is about 6 but has no hint of blue in his eyes, just black in sunlight or shade. Id be interested to hear if someone else is familiar with this though.
