Milton is owed "A WET"...

Car had to be inspected today, so our morning routine didn't happen today...meaning Milton did not get a shower today. While I was getting ready to take the car down to the garage, wife was misting Sunshine Tiel to remove the morning pepper juice from his face. Anyway, some birdie was watching...

Milton: "DAT BIRD WET!"

Me: Yes, he's getting cleaned up, Bird....

Milton: "I NOT WET...WANNA WET NOW!"

Me: I have to leave now, Milt..you can get wet tomorrow...

Milton: "I NOT WET...YOU BAD...BYE"....

My brother, who was going to bring me home said, "Did he say what I thought I heard him say?"

Anyway, this afternoon, Milty was in a better mood. Unfortunately, wife left the misting bottle next to Milty's ledge, on the "no table". When he saw this, he ran over, grabbed the bottle and tossed it on the floor, spilling what water that was left across the floor.

Milton: (looking at the spilled water) "NOW DAT WET"....

Milton will get his shower...tomorrow morning....

I'm continuously amazed at the ability for birds to not only communicate with us, but learn our own language and use it to a degree that not only expresses their thought process, but also reasonably follows a pattern similar to our own. Milton is simply amazing!

Much of Milton's vocalizations surround water. He enjoys bathing in it, playing in it, and talking about it. There's a whole set of things he says in the shower that I don't post, because of my policy of only posting things Milty says that have been heard by someone other than myself. I don't want anyone thinking that I'm making up the things Milty is saying.
One thing I will say...Milton is fascinated...no, obsessed... with bars of soap!

Oh my gosh, that is too funny! I don't have bars of soap, but I will say that Archie screams bloody murder if I attempt to use a colored loofah. Apparently a neutral-colored sponge thing works just fine, but the loofah is clearly evil.
