Milton discovers wet clothes...

Before Buddy moved to the living room, I did my laundry. I usually hang the wet sweatshirts up in Milton's room....

While I'm hanging a shirt on the curtain rod...

Milton: "WAT DAT?"

Me: That's a wet shirt, Bird...I'm hanging it up to dry....

Milton: "DAT NOT WET...DAT NOT WET!"

Me: You want to see that it's wet...see...

I offer the shirt to Milt...he bites it...

Milton: "DAT WET"..I WANNA WET NOW."

Me: You can't get wet now, Bird...later..

Milton: "YOU BAD BIRD...WANNA WET"...

Milton jumps off bed, runs toward bathroom, yelling 'WET NOW"...

No "wets" for Milton then...he'll have to wait until tomorrow...

Once in a great while, yes....usually when there's scritches going on...sometimes if there's cake involved...

Oh to be a younger and have that be the most frustrating thing in the world...I can picture him stomping off in high dudgeon in that funny little "Dennis the menace" cockatoo stomp. You create little movies for me in my head when you tell Milty stories. I bring them up when I need a chuckle. Thank you for your generosity in sharing him with us.

I often say that Milton doesn't belong to me...he's a force on nature that belongs to the world...and the best part for the world is that it doesn't have to put up with him when he's being naughty...not that he's ever naughty...
