Milton asks about Cassie...

We have a couple of pictures of Cassie B hanging in our bedroom. (Milton's room) Today I took one of the pictures down to dust it, and Milton came over to me...

Milton: "WAT DAT?"

Me: That's Cassie B Bird...she's your "sister"...

Milton comes over to the picture...taps it softly with his beak.

Milton: "DAT A BIRD?"

Me: Yes, Cassie was a bird, just like you...

Milton: "DAT A GOOD BIRD?"...

Me: Yes, Cassie was a very good bird... just like you.

Milton: "DAT A PRETTY PRETTY BIRD?"

Me: Yes, Cassie was a very pretty, pretty bird...just like you.

Milton: "GOT DAT RIGHT...I A PRETTY PRETTY BIRD"....

Milty constantly amazes me...

Thanks I will! None of my birds talk. But I know they are smart! I can tell they understand my gestures and what I'm saying. They know my moods and I know theirs but to speak with them! That's over the top cool.

In my house a house finch and a Pionus could not get along vying for attention, much to the detriment of the poor finches toes till we figured it out. At least same sized birds would be on a equal footing but I wouldn't want to try and stop the first fight...
