I have read that it can be harmfull to feed a diet that contains this synthetic vitamine K.
I have found that it is part of the analyses of caitec pellets and lafeber nutriberries.

can anybody tell me more about this? is it safe to use a food with this ingredient?

here are some links:

I can tell you that it was banned from human consumption in March 1963 and has been linked to bleeding problems and liver damage. March 29, 1963 - FDA BANS USE OF VITAMIN K3, DENIES DANGER | Chicago Tribune Archive

Unfortunately it is the ONLY vitamin K approved for pet foods by AAFCO The Association of American Feed Control Officials > Home
