Menadione Sodium Bisulfite

I have read that it can be harmfull to feed a diet that contains this synthetic vitamine K.
I have found that it is part of the analyses of caitec pellets and lafeber nutriberries.

can anybody tell me more about this? is it safe to use a food with this ingredient?
