ParrotHead
Walking the driveway
Hello! As you can tell I'm new to this site. I actually was google searching about Hawkheads, and landed here,so I thought I'd drop by! I'm excited there's an actual sub-forum for us hawkhead parronts!
I have an amazing little Hawkhead named Gryffindor (aka Gryffin). He's about 6 months now, maybe a little older. He brings me such great joy with his antics and noises. He's quite friendly, will go to anyone, loves to go out and about with me (but hates the harness, but is tolerant) and is very cuddley.
He's best friends w/ my Timneh grey, and they are always together. Not so much in the same cage- tried that, didn't go so well. lol.
Anyways, enough of my rambling. I look forward to being on this site with other HH owners, so I can continually learn more about my guy. They truely are special birds.
First, since it is Christmas, I will do my obligatory "picture with Santa" picture.
When he was about 12 weeks old:
In his favorite spot- sitting on the top of the play gym, where he can see everything going on in the house
In this picture, I caught him preening my grey, but couldn't get the picture soon enough, so he just looks up to no good.
Tolerating the harness, going for a visit to the local aviary where we frequent, and where he came from.
I've been having a tough time catching him when he puts his head feathers up....so I will continue to try But here's one of the few I got- the camera didn't focus in time.
