I just need one mor 2x4x10 going lengthwise, and I think I'm good for right now. :). Photos with birds coming soon... A place for me ;). I have 4 5' long ss chains hanging in a semicircle around the door to deter birds from flying at the door. Saw that in a zoo.

Harry's not ready for the Great Outdoors, yet. He's my chicken. Petey is pissed and defending Daffer! Thought he was going to bite me!

I'm not sure who looks like they love it more, the macaws or that blue-bodied FID with the peach-colored face.:wacky:

Man, you guys are lucky. I'd be dead for even suggesting an aviary.

How are you getting them out?
I suggest that you make a roof over one or two corners of that aviary. Both for sun protection and they are also more calm as they feel safe if they get a dark corner.

No perches over that place, why? :D

I'm going to get some sun protection as the weather turns to spring and summer.

I bought a steel, powder coated Defender chicken coop, which is 10x10x7. It's assembled, has a perch and a Kitchen Sink in it. Obviously, I'll be adding feeding stations, more toys, perches, ropes, etc. I wanted bigger, but this should work. When I take it down in the Fall, I'll see about getting a thicker powder coating on it.

When it's decked out and warm enough, there will be macaws in there! My flock can finally go outside! :)

@Danita - Matt says that the chicken coop is 7 feet high (are you thinking in Canadian - 7 meters = about 20 feet) ??
