Matsui's New Friends

As I posted, we lost Mr. Magu, the telescope goldfish. His buddy Matsui became very despondent. So I got him a new friend, this guy.

Next week, I have two new friends coming in from HI.
Here they are

OMG Carole, I am finally seeing these pic's. They are beautiful. I love the black ones and the different angles, you would think they are 2 different fish. Good luck with them.

One last little one is sneaking in from CA.

His name will be Taiji

Here are the ones who came in this morning from CA.
Panda- I am a little concerned about the red halfmoon over the right gill.I didn't notice any orange/red color on him in the video. He does have a little in the center of his tail.

Very pretty! What could the red on the panda mean, Carole? Could it be from getting banged up during transit or could it mean a disease?

Just a worried mom. I contacted the seller, here is his reply just now.
"Carole,

the panda had alittle half moon by the gil
when i first got it. as soon as you told me
you was interested in the panda i tookk it
out of the pond and the ryukin too. hope you
like it."

Hi Carole,

Nope, not yet, but we are getting there. He HATES his mashie . I am trying birdie bread this weekend and have bought strawberry and parsley plants to grow on the lanai. We shall see.................have got to get him interested in something besides SEED............

My two fish came in from HI today! They are in perfect gorgeous shape. I am so happy. I will get new pics when DH figures out what is wrong with the two pc's that are down.

I love love love goldfish! I know they're so thrown around.. But from an aquarist's point of view I really like them over many other tropical fish.

I think it's partly, in my case anyway...because I had them as a kid. They were much different then, not as fancy, and I was inexperienced. I had no clue how to properly care for them. Then when I grew up, bettas became more appealing, then saltwater fish, then unusual rare fish. Now I have come full circle, back to goldfish, and they are amazing creatures with interesting personalities. I love them too!

I'm sorry to hear about Mr. Magu. Seems like his buddy is quite sad sitting there in the corner. I am sure his new found friends will make him happy though.
