Pictures Majestic Harpy Eagle <3

Some of my most cherished shots from my Zoo visit yesterday were of this absolutely jaw droppingly stunning Harpy Eagle! They are one of my all time favorite Raptor species so to get these photos which were very hard I admit because I had to zoom in through the very small tight wire mesh to be able to get anything even half away servable without the wire blocking things. At one point a woman walking behind me stopped to compliment me on the pics I was taking with my camera she said that she could see the Harpy so much better through my camera lens and that I was talking great shots so that was kinda cool. The best part was that I got there right before he started to have a vigorous preening session I stood there almost 20 mins taking so many pics. and He started calling in the middle of it oh it was so incredible to hear him plus I got some fabulous Nictitating membranes!

Omg me too! I let out a little squeal of excitement when I saw that! It made for a much more unique shot! Plus just in general it's the same no matter what species you are in that regard
