maine coon cat

I'm going with a friend of mine this morning to pick up her maine coon cat.We found a breeder about an hour from the island here.The woman is getting out of breeding and showing. She's selling off alot of her cats.Out of all the cats, Donna picked out a 6 yr. old female.Shes absolutely beautiful...not to mention shes going to be so loved and treasured.We spent yesterday shopping for all the things on her list for savannah.
Anyone here have a maine coon cat?

I love those cats. But with so many free ones around just can't make myself spend money to buy one. lol

I had a barn cat who was part Maine coon. Earl Grey was as beautiful as a pure bred and he had the most amazing personality. I lost him to cancer last year after 15 yrs. Congrats to your friend on her new baby.

When I met my hubs he had two Maine coon cats. They were huge and had canine personalities. Unfortunately I am highly allergic to cats and he choose to rehome them together to be with me. I felt guilty. Anywho, they are lovely cats and so beautiful. Congrats to your friend.

Ive never seen a maine coon but I just googled it and WOWZERS those kitties are big!!! Cant wait to see pics when your friend brings the new one home = )

My brother had two Maine coones...they were gorgeous and huge. Their feet were so big and they had that extra toe!

Unfortunately they have both passed...one at about 15 and the other at around 10....
