Hello everyone I need your help again. One month ago I noticed longitudinal crack in the end of the beack of my Gold and Blue. His beack was long and we cut off the end of the beack. Bit this crack is deep and now it is still there. So we cut end of beack again today. Now his beack became short but crack is still there. I am afraid that this crack will reach the tissue and it will hurt him. So how can we dispose of this crack? Please help.

First, I can not really see a crack but know there is something going on because it's white.

When you say cut the end, what are you using? Normally we say file the end. If you are using a tool to cut it, it will crack.

I was using the special scissors for clipping clutches because crack was very deep. I will take another picture.

This is really the only thing I am seeing. However, the white tip can be the cause of underlying damage.

Yes that was one months ago when I cut it. I just uploaded new photo how it looks now. Crack is going deeper. So what should I do? I will never use scissors again.

It's deeper? Have you trimmed it recently?

This last picture looks like more healing has happened. As it's the tip it should heal on it's own rather quickly. Beaks grow from the inside out, not the top down as most people think.

Today I noticed that after I clipped beack of my boy it grows but the crack became much deeper and something stuck in this crack. So I clipped his beack again a little bit. (But i will neved do it again) So this was the latest photo. (The beak was not bleeding)

When you clipped it last time it may have cracked internally and a hairline of blood stuck in there. If he has no pain he is alright. The vet may be able to fill it but being at the tip I doubt there is much to be done. Use a file from now on and let it heal. Beaks can take 6 months or better. Feed a good diet to promote growth.

Pretty, pretty Blue and Golds. Love their names - I always felt that macaws should have real people names.

I use a nail file and do it quickly, my birds are afraid of a dremel.
