Love bird breeding question

We bought 2 proven pairs of love birds and have had them for about 1 month. We have a nesting box for each cage and have been feeding them a good diet. How long should it be till they settle down and start to breed? I know they need time to get use to the new surroundings I was just wondering how long that takes.

I guess I’d wait to see them feeding and preening each other, not fighting, before adding a nest box. Maybe even start feeding more richly before or when you put up the box.

How sure are you that they are proven pairs? I would DNA sex them if you dont trust the person who sold them to you 100%.

I would also wonder when they got done with their last clutch.

The two birds in the second picture appear to be different species.
The lower bird is Fischeri, the other looks Personatus. Given their mask is a little patchy, they could possibly be a PersonatusxFischeri hybrid.

Not a pair I would want to breed with, personally. Maybe consider rehoming to a family to become companions, and invest in another pair of the same species?

As for breeding, best to not rush them. Give them time to adapt, get healthy on the new diet, and have a vet checkup.
