Lost Hahns Macaw, Vernon Hills, IL

Teresa (Merlie) has lost one of her hahns macaws, she followed her outside today. She's in the Vernon Hills (Deerpath Park) IL area. She's also w/o a phone for the moment.

The Gateway parrot club has a facebook page if someone wants to go over there and post something.

I've seen signs about parrot events around Peoria, IL so there should be a group around there.

It was raining very hard and cold when Lurch escaped the next day and it even got below freezing at night or close and every morning when we went out expecting the worst there he was in his chosen tree, chewing branches and calling to us so have hope.
I think many of the larger, or even medium birds can take a lot more then we think so keep looking. The first morning Lurch was asleep in his tree and we had no clue yet where he was except in it high somewhere and we were about to head home figuring he flew away and we heard a very quiet question chirp. After he realized it was us right below him he got really excited and loud and eventually I was able to see where he was with binoculars. I still roll down my window when driving through my neighborhood in case he's still out and found his way back or he's in somebodies house who found him complaining about no Taco Bell.
