Hardy loves the floor too, but with dire results. He goes into severe pionus strut and works himself up into a real protective lather. He goes after the dogs, the kids, the other birds, my toes, and gets angrier and angrier. If I keep him on the sofa, he stays (more or less) sweet. Or at least I don't get chomped as often on the sofa as I do when I pick him up off of the floor!
