My name is Ellen01.
I will start with my bio.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer Sept 2017, had double mastectomy Oct 31, 2017, chemo began Jan 2018. I was told I could no longer keep my bird, so I had to rehome my parrotlet (hatched May 15, 2016) that my husband bought as a gift for me - and he isn’t crazy about birds so this one was very special to me.
I gave my parrotlet - Noodle to my friend & she kept for 4 months & could not handle him so she sold him, after asking me if it was ok. I thought I was fine with that decision, but I wasn’t. I decided to go against drs order & bring Noodle home BUT that same day she had a buyer for him. I was devastated.
I know finding a good parrotlet is difficult so I was going to go the lovebird route & 2 weeks ago I found a baby lovebird that hatched Jan 16, 2018. He is a doll. I am still trying to name him.
NOODLE update: yesterday my friend called & asked if I wanted Noodle back because the family said Noodle is too LOUD - go figure, my obnoxious Noodle LOUD - of course he is!!! So yay, whoop, whoop, I can whip away my tears - NOODLE IS COMING HOME NEXT WEEK!!!!
I don’t know how Noodle is going to act with another bird in the house but I know there will be no interacting. Noodle would definitely injure the lovie.
