WOW! Anybirdy would be thrilled to belong to you.:laughing12: It should have a fun name. Like the little rascals playhouse or something..
This is what used to be the mother in law house right, or is it the one with the high ceilings attached to your home?

thank you Carole :D
This is the main bird room in the house. The MIL cottage has an unsealed concrete floor and it still smells like a new building two years after the fact . So one of these days I'll get non toxic sealer sprayed on it and we can use it again....:)

:eek:Didn't know that J & C had their own little naughty house!!:p
my breeder advised me to remove it!
So I did!
Haha me too! Seriously, though, how long does it take to clean poop off of everything each day? I don't see poop on ANYTHING
:hehe: it's a losing battle. I should just give up already

age 5 and not a clue....

I'm sure Sir Rudy can show Jojo the ropes.:hehe:

He certainly knows his way around with the ladies and evidently also knows his way around female body parts too!!:D

I'm always jealous every time I see photos of your bird room, that's exactly all a bird could ask for, it's brilliant! :dance4:

Quite incredible!
Do your birds utilize everything in that space?
Are there certain items or play areas they prefer, more than another?
Beautiful!!!

thanks Doris and excellent question....one i am very happy to answer!:D

It's all about the caiques :D
The north wall got so dense with gyms because in 2008 when i moved the birds into this new room, the caiques were smashing into the flying room wire at breakneck speeds so the breeder advocated a mild clip to slow them down. I accidentally clipped one feather too many on both essentially grounded them both for 18 months, much to my dismay
So I had to provide pathways to get around their side of the room. There was no way for them to get to the little bird side, and the little birds who were flighted, steered clear of their side except for the little quaker who went everywhere!. In some ways this developed a sense of territory and tolerance in the birds so now finally when the caiques started flying again early this year, by force of habit they still use the aerial pathways BUT they fly over to the little bird side across 20 feet of clear air space and hang out on the sparse gyms there. The little birds just have a few boings and an atom or two on their side. Now of course everyone goes everywhere and thankfully so far it is peaceful.

As for favorites.....the exotic wood dreams flyer is the most ignored. No one hangs out on it. They use it as a stepping stone. Probably the location and also I don't put food in it's cups.
The Rosie triangle swing is a huge favorite but the Rosie Drawbridge is ignored. No one ever sits on the hammock white cotton net UNLESS I tie a sprig of millet to it. Both atoms are big favorites, jolly balls are occasionally used. All the get-a-grips are loved. All boings are loved. I may take some select items down to promote more caique flight inside the room. During good weather they get plenty of exercise outside :)

there what a long winded answer that was! Are you sorry you asked? :p

You didn't answer my question.... :p
oops! sorry! Chopping up breakfast and forgot :hug8:
they'll head out into the flying room, replacing the last wave of rusted out cages i just threw out. Stuff gets so rusty so fast around here!
These are not in great shape to start with...hence the need to replace.

It's OK :) Chop up that breakfast for them, I don't mind

Can the rusty stuff not be repowder coated?

The snake hanging on the one net made me laugh :). I love all the baskets. Is that a basket tunnel - open on both ends? I too spied Dolly on the counter. We should have a where's Dolly hunt!
