I have two budgies Willis & Johnny. Willis was very lonely and depressed so I got him a friend when he was about 4 months old. Johnny is a very sweet and very young budgie (about 5 weeks old when I got him). Although it seems to have eased a bit now, Willis took to kicking Johnny with his claw, or pushing down on his back until Johnny either ran away or fell off the branch. This still happens at night time sometimes and I am worried about Johnny getting hurt. Some might say it is territorial but I have seen Johnny just sitting there and out of nowhere Willis will run up and kick him. Why is he doing this??? Is there anything I can do to stop it??
Thanks :)

Looking at your photo thread, i think Johnny is a little girl. If this is the case could it be possible that Willis is feeling a little frisky (he's at that age where baby budgies start feeling hormonal) and trying to mount Johnny?
